Why Busan Should Be on Every Muslim Traveler’s Korea Itinerary

A wide-angle, low-angle landscape shot of the Marine City skyline in Haeundae, Busan, at night. The foreground features a calm, dark sea that perfectly reflects the vibrant, glowing lights of the surrounding architecture. The skyline is dominated by several luxury high-rise skyscrapers, including the iconic curved glass towers of Haeundae I'Park and the towering Doosan We've the Zenith. The buildings are brilliantly illuminated with thousands of white and blue internal lights, creating a "festival of light" that mimics the aesthetic of major global cities like Hong Kong or Shanghai. On the right, the Gwangan Bridge (Diamond Bridge) stretches across the water, its double-deck suspension structure glowing with bright LED lights. The sky is a deep, clear indigo, providing a sharp contrast to the shimmering gold and blue reflections dancing on the water's surface. The overall atmosphere is modern, sophisticated, and energetic, capturing Busan's status as a premier global port city.

Busan blends natural beauty with modern urban experiences. Whether you’re walking along Haeundae Beach, exploring cultural museums, or riding scenic cable cars with ocean views, this port city has something for everyone.

For Muslim travelers, Busan offers growing halal‑friendly services and prayer facilities, making it easier to enjoy your trip with confidence. Plus, if you’re coming from Seoul, you can reach Busan in around 3 hours via Korail’s high‑speed KTX train, giving you more time to explore. (👉 Learn more and book on Korail Global)

What’s the Difference between passes?

There are both Time Passes and Selection Passes.

  • Selection Passes: Choose from Big 3 or Big 5 options.

Check the table below to see the differences between each pass!

How is the usage period calculated?

  • Time Pass (24h/48h): The countdown does not start at the time of purchase. Instead, it begins when you use the pass at your first attraction. From that moment, your pass is valid for exactly 24 or 48 hours.

    • Example: If you purchase a 24-hour pass on January 1st at 1:00 PM but use it for the first time at 5:00 PM, you can use it until 4:59 PM on January 2nd.

  • Selection Pass (Big 3/Big 5): The Selection Pass offers much more flexibility. The validity period starts from the day of your first visit and remains active for 180 days, giving you plenty of time to enjoy your selected attractions.

Physical Card Pass vs. Mobile Pass

There are two types of passes available. The main difference is their format and transportation functionality:

  • Physical Card Pass: A tangible card that doubles as a rechargeable transportation card. It is a great choice if you need a transit card or want a physical souvenir from your trip to Korea.

  • Mobile Pass: A digital pass issued to your smartphone. It cannot be used as a transportation card.

Which one should you choose?

If you already have a transit card (such as one from Seoul or a Climate Card), a physical card may not be necessary. We generally recommend the Mobile Pass to avoid the risk of losing a physical card. However, if you prefer a free souvenir or need a new transit card, the Physical Card is an excellent option.

Note: The transportation feature functions as a prepaid card. You must top up (charge) the balance yourself before use.

Flipbook Studio (Blue / Group B)

A close-up shot of a pair of hands holding an open flipbook from the Moving Photo Store (움직이는 사진상점) in Gamcheon Culture Village. The flipbook is designed to look like an Instagram post, featuring a photo of a smiling family—a mother, father, and two young children—against a night sky backdrop. The left side of the book shows the thick edge of numerous pages that, when flipped, create a moving animation of the family's poses. The right side displays the clear, final frame of the "post," complete with the Instagram logo, a username, and hashtags like #busan and #gamcheonculturevillage at the bottom. The background is slightly blurred, focusing all attention on the personalized souvenir.

The left side of the frame shows a lush, green coastal cliff with a winding wooden pedestrian boardwalk (the Songdo Coastal Trail) hugging the rocky shoreline. In the background, the dense urban skyline of Busan features numerous white and gray high-rise buildings nestled against hazy, rolling mountains under a clear, bright sky. The calm blue water of the bay completes this scenic view of one of Busan's most popular coastal attractions.
ⓒ한국관광공사 포토코리아-IR 스튜디오

Songdo Marine Cable Car delivers one of the most scenic “over the ocean” rides in Busan. You’ll glide above the water and cliffs, seeing dramatic coastline views that feel cinematic. Songdo Yonggung Suspension Bridge (Blue / Group B)

A wide-angle, high-angle shot of the Songdo Yonggung Suspension Bridge in Busan. The white metal bridge stretches across a turquoise sea, connecting the mainland cliff on the right to a small, rocky uninhabited island on the left. The scene highlights the dramatic coastal geography and the engineering of the pedestrian bridge.
ⓒ한국관광공사 포토코리아-부산관광공사

Songdo Yonggung Suspension Bridge is a thrilling walk above the sea that gives you amazing viewpoints and fresh ocean air. It’s an easy add-on after the cable car because it naturally fits the same coastal route. The experience feels adventurous without needing special skills, so most travelers can enjoy it comfortably. If you love scenic walks and dramatic cliff views, this bridge belongs on your Songdo checklist.

Laser Arena Songdo (Blue / Group B)

A medium-shot of two people engaged in a laser tag game at Laser Arena Busan. The setting is a dark, indoor arena illuminated by vibrant neon orange and green lights on black partition walls featuring tactical signage like "NUCLEAR POWERED" and "SECTOR C." Visit Busan Pass vs. Private Tour: Which is Worth It?

While the Visit Busan Pass offers incredible value for entrance fees, many travelers find it challenging to maximize the pass within 24 or 48 hours. Before you decide, consider these practical factors about traveling in Busan:

1. The Challenge of "Time vs. Distance"

Busan is a massive, sprawling city. Moving from the Gijang Area (Luge, Lotte World) in the northeast to the Yeongdo/Gamcheon Area in the southwest can take over 1.5 to 2 hours by public transport.

  • Without a Private Tour: You will likely spend most of your "Pass Time" waiting for buses or navigating subways. Most DIY travelers can only manage 1 or 2 areas per day.

  • With KoreHalal Trip: Our private vehicles use optimized routes to help you visit 3 or 4 major districts in a single day, ensuring you actually get your money's worth from the pass.

2. The Difficulty of Driving & Parking

You might consider renting a car, but Busan is famous for its complex road layouts and chronic parking shortages, especially near popular spots like Haeundae or Gamcheon Culture Village.

  • Parking Stress: Finding a spot can take 30 minutes, and parking fees add up quickly.

  • The Solution: Our professional drivers handle all the traffic and parking. You get dropped off right at the entrance and picked up as soon as you're done.

3. Muslim-Friendly Integration (The Core Advantage)

The Visit Busan Pass gets you into the attraction, but it doesn't help you find a place to pray or eat.

  • Finding Halal Spots: Searching for Halal restaurants in the middle of a tight "Pass schedule" is stressful.

  • KoreHalal Trip Exclusive: We integrate Prayer Times and Halal Dining into your itinerary. We know exactly which "Pass Attractions" have prayer rooms nearby and which restaurants serve authentic, Muslim-friendly Busan seafood.
