Gangneung day trip by KTX - what I would do differently

Went to Gangneung last week with my cousin as a day trip from Seoul, our first time going outside the capital. The KTX ride was just over two hours each way and Gyeongpo beach in the late afternoon was honestly the best part of our whole trip, so quiet compared to Seoul. One thing I planned badly: we tried to squeeze the beach, a cafe by the sea and the old hanok house all into one day and ended up rushing everything. If you go, pick two spots max and book your return train before you leave Seoul, the evening ones filled up fast on a weekend. Happy to share our route if anyone is going soon.
