Cafe hopping in Seoul - any halal friendly options?

Me and my two friends are coming to Seoul this September and our plan is honestly just cafe hopping around Bukchon and Ikseondong. The pretty cafes I keep seeing online only show desserts and drinks, but I can't tell if the cakes use alcohol or gelatin. Anyone knows trendy cafes that are halal friendly, or at least have vegan dessert options? Also is it okay to ask the staff about ingredients in English, or should I prepare some Korean phrases?
